Since the late 1960s, the village of Whistler has been home to the world renown ski resort, Whistler-Blackcomb, attracting a permanent population of around 10,000 residents, plus many more tourists and part-time residents.

Located approximately 126 kilometers (78 miles) north of Vancouver, Whistler has been chosen to host the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. This has fueled a boom in construction, real estate, and tourism in the area.

Fractional ownership opportunities have been in great demand in and around Whistler for the past several years, and are especially popular among skiing enthusiasts who want a place to stay for a week or two each year.

Some of the most popular timeshare resorts in this exciting region include Club Intrawest-Whistler, Crystal Lodge, Montebello II, Whiski Jack, The Seasons at Whistler, and the Mountainside Lodge.
